Managing Poor Performers


Most Managers hate addressing poor performance. Often you can't actually bring yourself to tell the truth because you know it will hurt, instead you take the "easy" option and muffle the impact of the message. This can lead to the employee leaving the room feeling that there is no issue and you feeling frustrated because you didn't make your views clear. Sometimes Managers get so frustrated that they explode and sack employees without properly explaining their concerns and then find themselves facing a claim of Unfair Dismissal in the Fair Work Commission.
